Unburdened

The Podcast

Some burdens are invisible — but they shape our lives every day. Unburdened is a podcast that invites listeners to pause, reflect, and rethink how global health connects with deeper societal issues like gender, economy, environment, and politics. It’s a jargon-free space where both health and non-health professionals can explore the real stories behind global health challenges — and find hope through dialogue.

The first season asks one powerful question:
"Can gender equality make us healthier?"

Available on DAI’s website, RSS feed, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Stitcher.

Dynamic Visual Identity

The visual identity of the Unburdened brand was designed with the idea that health issues weigh us down, and the podcast is a moment for the audience to "pause to reflect." The idea was to create a photography-based image seen through a diamond's prism. We achieved this using the double exposure effect, blending warm and cold colors, playing with light and shadow, mixing blurry and sharp cuts, or using bold and light fonts. This approach added depth and complexity to the visuals. The visual identity distinguishes Unburdened from its competitors in the global health industry, aiming for a modern aesthetic and nuance that matches the tone and production of the podcast’s host and producer, Megan Howe.
